Relax with the whole family at this lofty place to stay inside the peaceful, historic Lakeside Chautauqua.

We have enjoyed our family cottage privately for over 30 years, and now it’s in the process of being slowly restored and renovated. It may be a little rough around the edges, but we’re happy to share it with kind guests.

Between the lengthy enclosed patio at the front and the recently painted deck in the back, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors in comfort at our family cottage.

The entire living space of the cottage is available to guests. There are three rooms with 6 beds between them, a full bath, a combined living and dining room, combined kitchen and utility room, an enclosed patio partially wrapping around the house, and a cozy deck around back.

Lakeside Chautauqua passes are separate

The cottage sits inside Lakeside Chautauqua, a gated historic community. Passes are required to reach the property and must be bought separately — online or at a booth at any entrance gate. We have no way to buy them for you, and our rates do not include them. A vehicle pass is required as well; there is parking for two to three cars.

  • Shuffleboard, tennis and pickleball courts, and the playground come with any pass
  • The community pool and gym need a full-day or all-day pass

Good to know

  • Self check-in with a smart lock
  • Housebroken, well-behaved dogs are welcome for a pet fee
  • No cats — severe cat allergies in the family
  • No smoking, no parties or events
  • Quiet hours across Lakeside run 11pm to 8am, noon on Sundays
